Baramulla 3 April: SSMD school Of design at Parihaspora Pattan observed a Festival La Mode on 3rd April, 2021, which included theatre performances, fashion, technology and visual arts which strongly reflected the !9th Century as this Era has highly influential to the styles & silhouettes
On this occasion the director, Insha S Qazi stated that “history repeats itself” the dominant styles of the Era work as an inspiration for leading designers even today.
It was a period of dramatic change and rapid socio-cultural advancement.
The event had many renowned artirts and known faces from the valley like Rj Nasir, Chef Yaseen, Shehla Designer Bollywood stylist, Kralkoor, Comedians etc……….
The importance of this festival was to promote creativity and ART as it’s the cheapest form of therapy, specially when we are the children of Conflict and have suffered the turmoil since many years.
Each year crores of funds are issued by the Government for industries like tourism, agriculture, IT etc. We need to recognise Art also as an industry and create a vibrant policy for the artist of the valley. They shouldn’t have to suffer and lead a slow death of their art says Insha S. Qazi.
